What We Do
At Queer Work, we guide LGBTQIA+ refugees and status holders through the often challenging journey toward social, educational, and professional inclusion in the Netherlands.
Our work is rooted in lived experience and driven by the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to grow, belong, and succeed. We offer a holistic support system that combines personal coaching, community empowerment, and collaboration with institutions and employers.
Personal Coaching
We provide one-on-one coaching tailored to each participant’s unique background, identity, and goals.
Our coaches support participants with:

- Setting career or study goals
- Learning the Dutch or English language
- Building confidence and emotional resilience
- Navigating cultural and practical barriers
We are trying every session is a safe and affirming space to reflect, grow, and take steps forward.
Group Empowerment Workshops
Our group workshops offer peer connection and collective strength. Together, participants explore:

- How to find jobs in the Dutch market
- How to access education and re-certify diplomas
- Mental health and self-care strategies
- Effective ways to learn Dutch and English
Workshops are held in-person and online, and are designed to build community, share tools, and inspire personal agency.
Career & Study Connections
We connect our participants with real opportunities. Through events and networking sessions, we invite professionals to:

- Share knowledge
- Offer feedback
- Help open doors to jobs and study programs
We collaborate with organizations like PostNL, groups of Hotels, creating pathways from coaching to career.
Language & Digital Skills
In partnership with Het Begint met Taal, we offer language coaching to help participants reach Dutch proficiency (B1/B2 level).
We also provide digital skills training from using online job portals to building professional profiles, so participants feel confident navigating both digital and real-world spaces.
